The Echo Base

The Echo Base was my radio show on WNCC, Northampton Community College’s internet radio station. The lasted five episodes and ran from October 2018 to May 2019. I was also the secretary and the treasurer for the Radio Club. In the first two episodes of the show, I was additionally in the Radio Workshop class and followed the project guidelines for them. Doing the show was always fun and I’m glad was able to do it.

This was the first episode of the show! The assignment was we had to make a 30-minute show. Mine ended up clocking in around 23 minutes as I misinterpreted the timer on GarageBand. Also, the music in this episode sounds a bit weird as I had my phone plugged into the mixer and I forgot to turn the equalizer I use off.

This was the second episode of the show. This time around we had to make a themed show and highlight an event on campus. I made mine a Christmas-themed show since it was Christmastime!

This was the third episode of the show. This was my second time taking the class (you could take it up to three times, it was a one-credit course). Once you’ve already taken the class, you’d be free to do whatever. This was the first episode following the spring break. I decided to do another themed show about transitioning into the springtime (although it was still pretty frigid in PA).

This was the fourth episode of the show. I returned to the show’s original format of just playing my favorite types of music while also retaining the entertainment/campus news segment “The Rundown”.

This was the final episode of the show. It was recorded right before I graduated from NCC. It followed the formats of the first episode and the previous episode.
